Trying to decide between a walk in shower or keeping a tub in a small Palo Alto bathroom

Our only bathroom is tiny and the tub is original to the house, maybe from the 60s, and it’s got that weird yellow tile situation going on. We finally have enough saved to redo it, but now I’m stuck because my husband wants to keep a tub for resale and I really just want a walk in shower so I’m not climbing over a wall every morning. I started poking around online and saw Walk in shower and tub remodeling mentioned as a way to sort of get both without turning the room into a maze, which honestly hadn’t occurred to me. Has anyone around Palo Alto done something like that in a really small space, and did it actually feel roomy afterward or did it just eat up all the floor?
