Job Title: Back End Developer
Location: Remote (plus travel to company events / meetings as required, if possible, not essential)
Line Manager: Director

We are recruiting for a Berkshire based technology company who are recruiting for a Back End developer to join their Product Development and Operations team.
This ideal candidate will need to be comfortable working from Office or home, we can discuss this with individual clients and be flexible.
Salary up to £55,000 per annum dependant on skills and experience.
Purpose
The back-end Developer will help to create compelling and intuitive for a range of solutions across the company platform working with the wider development team and company.

Responsibilities

Carry out development and design activities in one or more Agile teams.
Maintain and improve current Business Rules and adopt new requirements
Participate fully in all stages planning, design, programming and testing
Follow best practices to ensure stability and security of company systems.
Suggesting back-end process and technical improvements
Learn and improve skills using techniques and technologies.
Design and implement application and platform components.
Collaborate across the business to understand commercial requirements.

Requirements

Strong knowledge of Kotlin or Java
Experience with Spring Boot framework
Practical experience with RDBMS, non-relational data stores
Source control and collaboration through pull requests with git and GitHub.
Excellent team-working, communication and attention-to-detail skills.
A passion for technology and the desire to keep knowledge updated.
Basic knowledge of working with Linux.
Experience consuming RESTful webservices
