My client based in Wooburn Green is looking for a Payments and Income Team Assistant until the end of April.
Hours: 37
Pay Rate: £15 – £17ph (Dependant on Experience)
JOB PURPOSE:
To provide support to the Income and Payments Team Manager, Payments Team Leader and Income Team Leader during implementation of a new finance system (due April 2022).
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
* Monitor KPIs, taking remedial action where necessary to ensure:
* all purchase invoices are processed accurately and paid within allowed timescales
* that inter-company transactions are processed and recorded accurately and promptly
* all income cash postings are processed and recorded accurately and promptly
* Oversee the Direct Debit process for collecting monies owed to the Group, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and legislation
* Oversee the APP function ensuring compliance with external (e.g. CIS) and internal regulations
* Regularly review processes and implement control and efficiency improvements, engaging with internal and external stakeholders to ensure end to end cohesion and considering the changing environment, acting as a catalyst for change
* Represent the team and Finance more generally in other projects and in contributing to and presenting the case for change, building working relationships around the group, and working with other departments to ensure that processes and controls are effective
* Act as a communication conduit for the business through team meetings and collecting feedback
* Make a positive contribution in order to foster good to the relationships and partnerships with external parties (suppliers, local authorities etc), by understanding their requirements, providing information, receiving, and acting on feedback, able to challenge constructively where necessary
* Contribute to the management of the finance function more generally
