Speech & Language Therapists – Winslow, Buckinghamshire
Salary: Bucks Pay Range 4-6 or NHS Band 5/Band 6 equivalent (Dependent on Experience)
Hours: 37hours per week (52weeks)
My client is a centre of excellence for special educational needs. They support students aged 4-19years olds, they provide a supportive and aspirational environment for children with complex Special Educational Needs. This has been recognised by Ofsted in several years.
They are looking to expand their team of Speech & Language Therapists due to the increasing number of pupils. My client offers a 3 tier provision, within an inclusive and integrated approach. Supporting students with a wide range of special educational and clinical needs, including ASD, DLD, CAS and Dysphagia. The successful candidate will working in a well-resourced department, with access to a comprehensive range of assessments and digital resources.
The Successful Candidate will provide specialised child centred speech and language therapy service to meet the needs of staff and Pupils.
Role Responsibilities:
Maintain protocols and practices and associated records that adhere to standards set out by the royal college of Speech and Language Therapists.
Work individually with a complex caseload in collaborative, intensive and innovative ways.
To attend and provide reports for EHCP meetings and case conferences as required.
To participate in pre admission assessments as required
Take responsibility for the planning and administering of eating and drinking skills programmes, calling upon specialist staff for advice as appropriate.
Liaising with staff in other locations regarding individual pupils at transfer into and out of the school/service.
Essential Skills & Requirements:
Professional Speech and Language Therapy degree or equivalent
HCPC Registration
Registered Member of the royal college of Speech and Language Therapists
Relevant CPD portfolio
2 year’s Experience
Working in a school setting within a multidisciplinary team
