Industrial Designer – £40k-£45k – Buckinghamshire – Medical

My client specialises in the design, manufacture and worldwide distribution of powered electro-mechanical products. As part of the company’s expansion plan, they are looking to grow the engineering team with a passionate Industrial Design Engineer to work on a range of different projects ranging from product improvements to blank sheet design, developing new innovative products.

Main Duties:

+ Design electro-mechanical products

+ 3D CAD design

+ Concept generation

+ Sketch and create rendered images

+ Surface modelling

+ Design from concept through to product launch

+ Prototype and test designs

+ Work in multidisciplinary teams

Experience:

+ Degree in relevant discipline or equivalent

+ Strong 3D CAD skills – Ideally solidworks

+ Strong Surface modelling skills

+ Experience in designing precision mechanisms

+ Design of injection moulded and machined components

+ Hands on and practical – prototyping

+ Experience in designing electro-mechanical products would be beneficial

The salary will be between £40,000-£45,000 depending on experience. There is also a generous benefit package available including a £3,000 bonus paid monthly.
