Manual Machinist

Job Profile

As the successful Manual Machinist you will be working alongside a team of highly skilled machinists and be required to liaise with the Design department on new projects. The team are all multi skilled machinist and training and support will be given to develop your skills

Duties

* Manual Milling, Turning, Grinding EDM machines and Jig Boring

* Running XYZ manual and CNC machines using ProTrak

* Use gauges and measuring tools to meet tolerance requirements

* Producing old and new components and tooling for the company product range

* Working to tight tolerances

* Working with exotic metals including titanium and inconel

* Producing components from engineering drawings

* Able to work to aerospace standards AS9100

* Self-inspection

Skills & Experience

* Manual milling, turning and grinding

* Experience of running XYZ machines ideally

* Understand of Fanuc controls would be an advantage but training will be given

* Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings

* Strong team player who can who work on their own when required

* Capable of contributing to root cause analysis and front-line problem solving, to support continuous improvement

Hours

* 37 hrs per week

* 08.00 – 16.45 Monday – Thursday, Friday 12.00 finish

* Overtime paid at x1.5 hrs

* 25 days holiday + bank holidays
