About the role:
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Director of Governance and Risk to join us. You’ll undertake the role of Company Secretary, ensuring compliance with the organisation’s rules and other constitutional documents.
Your main responsibilities will include:

Being the lead governance and regulation professional within the organisation
*
Overseeing a team responsible for governance administration, risk management and internal audit
*
Managing and implementing the requirements of the Regulator of Social Housing’s (RSH) published regulatory framework, ensuring that they are met and fit for purpose
*
Supporting the delivery of the business assurance programme
*
Ensuring that policies and procedures provide effective controls in respect of areas of risk
*
Ensuring that common policies and procedures are developed across the organisation
*
Leading the approach across the organisation to create a culture of consistent and high quality risk management
*
Ensuring that an effective enterprise-wide risk management framework is in place
What we’re looking for:
*
ICSA professional qualification or other governance qualification or equivalent
*
Experience of working as a Company Secretary
*
Experience of developing and delivering a strategic governance framework
*
Experience of supporting Board members in carrying out their role
*
Experience of providing expert strategic and operational advice in governance and compliance to Executives, Board members and other stakeholders
*
An understanding of the sector and regulatory landscape for social housing providers
*
Up to date knowledge of relevant legislation and regulation
*
A tenacious approach with the ability to organise and prioritise
*
Good rapport building and influencing skills
*
The ability to build strong working relationships
