About the role:
We are currently seeking an IT Support Assistant to join our IT Service Desk. The main purpose of this role is to handle phone enquiries and solve IT requests or escalating for further investigation where necessary.
Your main responsibilities will include:
*
Providing first line support to over 300 colleagues
*
Providing software, business apps and infrastructure support
*
Investigating, troubleshooting/diagnosing and solving faults
*
Rolling out software updates to systems and devices
*
Monitoring and escalating incident and services requests tickets accordingly
*
Offering services via remote assistance and in person
*
Communicating changes in the status of requests as well as resolutions as they become available
*
Installing and configuring hardware, software and other systems
*
Setting up accounts and permissions on MS Active Directory
*
Solving password requests
What we’re looking for:
*
Experience of providing an effective support service to colleagues via telephone, helpdesk system and / or email
*
Experience of working within a support environment
*
Knowledge of MS Products – OS and applications
*
Enthusiasm for IT and the application of IT solutions to business problems
*
Commitment to customer care and helping users achieve their goals
*
Knowledge of Microsoft 365, SharePoint and EDRM systems, system / hardware configuration, MDM system and basic networking would be an advantage
