Band 8B General Manager – Anaesthetics Theatres and Critical care

The post holder will be responsible for performance management, service improvement, business development, strategy, and non-clinical management input for cancer-related services across the trust with particular emphasis on close working with the Professional Heads of Service and SDU leads to develop relationships with all stakeholders and improve Quality.

Temporary: Expected to last 6 Months and potentially longer

Location: Aylesbury,

Pay Rate: Up to £32.00 per hour paye plus holiday or up to £36 per hour umbrella, depending on skill and experience

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Job details:

The candidate must be an experienced General manager with the following attributes;

* Experience of managing Operating Theatres.

* Experience in managing a large Anaesthetic Department.

* Experience in managing Critical Care.

* Experience in planning around surge capacity

* Experience in budgetary management

* Good understanding of flexing Theatre capacity to support Elective recovery Programme.

* Excellent interpersonal skills

* Excellent communication skills.

* Ability to travel between Stoke Mandeville and Wycombe Hospitals

* Extensive experience of theatre scheduling and the application of 6,4,2 Methodology
