Brownlee Dean are delighted to be recruiting a Project Planner for a national civil engineering contractor who have secured a high amount of work in central England. They're carrying out a recruitment drive to bring the best civil engineering professionals in the region into their business.
The purpose of the role is to work closely alongside the Project Manager to effectively create, maintain and report on project programming in accordance with the requirements of the project.
Roles & Responsibilities:
* Provide planning management and support to the project
* Development and management of fully resources and cost loaded delivery program
* Ensure project plans captured the full project scope of works and resources
* Provide programme reports
* Report on programme performance
* Understand and be aware of commercial aspects of the project
* Create, maintain and review construction phase plans
* Liaising with managers and engineers to discuss the progress of the project and address any issues that arise
Key Experience:
* Engineering background
* Trained in and experience in the principles of planning.
* Proven experience of Oracle Primavera P6 (Version 8.3 or above
* Proven experience of team management, including planning and monitoring of activities;
* Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Word & Excel)
* Full driving licence
* Proven experience of use in Oracle Primavera P6 (Version 8.3 or above)
* Experience on recognition and recording of any change requirements
* Experience in actively measuring and monitoring performance
Personal Skills:
* Strong problem solving
* Strong communication including writing reports and presenting
* Understanding engineering principles
* Time management and planning
Certificates & Qualifications:
* Minimum of HNC/HND in Civil Engineering
* CSCS Card
