About The Role Huntercombe Maidenhead is in Taplow, within 1/2 mile of junction 7 of the M4, two miles from Maidenhead and six miles from Windsor. The hospital is set in a 13th century manor house with extensive gardens, we look after children and young people aged 12 to 18 years with mental health needs. We are a Tier 4 Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) hospital.
We are growing our team of Bank Receptionists who are flexible and enthusiastic with excellent customer service skills. You will cover shifts when required to assist in the day to day operation of the Front Desk undertaking all duties to the highest professional standard and ensuring every visitors experience is of the highest quality. You will receive, assist and direct visitors in accessing the appropriate service in a professional courteous, efficient and effective way. Provide general assistance to the management team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone
Key Accountabilities:
• Manage and ensure all incoming calls to a busy switch board are handled to the correct standard and answered within the required timeframe
• Provide a warm welcome to all visitors
• Maintain security at all times by following correct policies and procedures with regards to all visitors
• Liaise with all departments with regards to visitors and incoming calls
• Order stationary and ensure that correct stock levels are maintained
• Take and manage meeting room bookings, ensuring that rooms are set up on a daily basis
• Ensure motor vehicle booking system runs smoothly
• Undertake general administrative tasks
• Deal with any emergencies in a calm and professional manner
As a Receptionist you will:
• Be required to develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, visitors, carers, members of the multi-disciplinary care team and senior professional and managerial staff
• Conform to all Policies and Procedures of the Company, with particular regard to confidentiality, financial and administrative responsibilities, and treat patients, colleagues and visitors with dignity and respect
• Have a minimum of GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C) in English and Math’s, relevant experience within a Healthcare, Hospitality industry but not limited to these industries. A qualification in reception skills or Business and Administration may also be helpful
• Treat everyone with dignity and respect, valuing and respecting patients and staff as individuals and be committed to equality of opportunity for all, embracing diversity
• Maintain a pleasant quality and cheerful nature whilst working under pressure
• Have the ability to multi-task and possess excellent communication skills
Working Pattern:
• Shifts times are: 07:30 – 15:30 and 12:30 – 20:30 including weekends on a rota. The Reception is a 24 hour operation.
• Rate of Pay: £10.12 per hour
