This is a newly created role where you’ll be providing supply chain support by overseeing all required transport services in accordance with operational and strategic needs of the business along with day-to-day customer service activities.
Working for our Milton Keynes based client in the role of Logistics & Customer Services Co-ordinator. This is a great opportunity to really make the role your own.
It’ll require good Supply Chain understanding, confidence in analysis coupled with the ability to look at new ways of working, planning, supplier/hauliers and implementation.
You’ll have the opportunity to review and update current policies, KPI’s and processes to drive efficiency and financial savings. You will be able to achieve this by ensuring current supply chain partners and customer services processes are giving the best value for money, looking for alternative solutions whilst continuing to provide excellent levels of service and working closely with all internal and external customers.
Our client manages the production, storage and despatch from a single site in Milton Keynes. The business distributes a high volume of product every year, all of which is in paper bags and on pallets.
You would be responsible for managing an annual logistics budget of 1.1 million pounds.
To be considered for this role:
Minimum of 2 years related experience and / or training in logistics and customer services
MUST have an understanding of the transportation documentation, planning, routing and costing of haulage
Pro-active strong organisational skills
Good computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and NAV
Excellent communication skills (fluent in English)

Company annual bonus of 6%, Hours of work – Monday to Friday – 3-week rotation 8am-4pm, 9am-5pm, 10am-6pm (occasional weighbridge cover 6am-2pm), 32 days holiday (including Bank), Healthcare, Pension, Free Parking
