Director of Human Resources
Thames Valley Air Ambulance is one of the UK’s leading air ambulance charities. We continuously push the boundaries of medical intervention, helicopter aviation and on-scene patient care to deliver a unique emergency service to patients, where and when it is most needed.
Location: Stokenchurch, High Wycombe (The ability to work from home will also be required)
Job Type: Part Time, Permanent
Hours: 22.5 to 30 per week
Salary: £55,000 to £60,000 (FTE)

As a member of the Executive Management Team, the Director of Human Resources will be responsible for the overall development and delivery of our people strategy. You will be expected to provide strategic advice, guidance, and leadership across the charity on all aspects of the key areas of HR management and ensure HR polices and processes are fit for purpose and legally compliant. You will take the lead in recognising, creating, and implementing plans to promote diversity and inclusion and lead a small, dedicated HR team
Our work force is varied and includes paramedics, doctors and operational support staff as well as fundraising, communications, finance and other support services. Our critical care response service operates between 0700 and 0200 daily which means that some of our team work shifts and anti social hours; many have an emergency services background.

You must be CIPD (level 7) qualified and competent in generalist HR with the ability to work at a transactional and strategic level and have the experience of leading an HR function. You will have highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality.
