We have a rare opportunity to join a prestigious private estate in Buckinghamshire, close to High Wycombe. As Head of Sales, Marketing and Events, you will play an important role on the Estate, helping to generate income from events and filming, as well as creating and building excellent relationships with the local community, the Estate partners, and suppliers.
The 5-year Commercial Plan developed earlier this year sets out an exciting roadmap and substantial revenue growth. The extent of this growth and the associated expansion plan requires a dedicated, sales driven team to drive this area forwards. You will be working in a small team, managing two others, therefore the willingness to be involved in all levels of tasks, and hands on, is important.
As Head of Sales, Marketing and Events, you will be responsible for:
Developing the events side of the business working alongside the Estate Manager and the wider team
Creating and developing sales and marketing plans for the Estate in conjunction with marketing consultants
Managing and delivering against agreed annual sales and marketing budgets
Developing, championing, and protecting the Estate brand, ensuring brand guidelines are adhered to across the Estate
Overseeing the development of the website, email campaigns and social media, ensuring information is provided proactively, in line with the brand and on the right media platform
Managing customer contact through these channels swiftly and effectively
Preparing sales and marketing campaigns and materials in line with business and seasonal requirements, both on a proactive and planned basis
Developing the marketing function's capabilities in capturing, analysing and utilising customer data in line with GDPR
Appointing and working effectively with any required specialist partners
Working with the Estate HR Consultancy on strengthening the employer brand for recruitment through effective images, video and copy for the careers page on the website
Being accountable for the recruitment, development and performance of team members and to lead by example – observing, training, coaching and recognising great performance
Being part of the senior management team, contributing to the wider performance of the EstateYou must be/have:
Commercially driven with proven sales experience and a good understand of what team KPIs should be
Proven experience of motivating and managing teams
Experience of working in an environment similar to that of an Estate and within events /hospitality sectors
Extensive contacts within the events industry, and with the agency and direct corporate world
Experience of creating and delivering against sales and marketing plans
Experience of a wide range of evets and an understanding of the events industry Hours: Full time. Monday to Friday (40 hours per week) but some weekend working to support events will be required
