A successful family-owned business with a global customer base is recruiting for a Quality Technician on a permanent basis. The role is based in Stokenchurch assisting the BFC Engineering department with the ideal candidate having experience in a similar position.

Salary: £ 20,000 – £ 24,000 p.a. + Excellent Benefits

Commutable from: Stokenchurch, High Wycombe, Oxford, Aylesbury, Maidenhead and Reading

The Role

The Quality Technician will be responsible for inspecting incoming products to ensure conformity to specifications including a review of the supporting documentation. In addition, you will instigate, update and close out supplier corrective action reports (SCARs).

With outbound products you will conduct the final inspection of customer deliveries prior to dispatch as well as the inspection of stock (product Audit) to ensure conformity to specification, identification, traceability and freedom from contamination/deterioration.

All the while the Quality Technician will maintain formal records of your inspections for both inbound and outbound products.

The Person

As the Quality Technician it would be beneficial for you to have come from an Engineering or Quality Control environment to be able to read and understand 2D technical drawings. Knowledge and/or experience working with digital and mechanical measurement equipment would again be beneficial as would experience of using an ERP system.

The Quality Technician will have experience being customer facing and is articulate with good communication skills to be able to email suppliers and customers in a professional manner.
