A successful family owned manufacturing and engineering business with a global customer base are recruiting for a Product Manager, and the ideal candidate will be from the fastener and fixing industry, with the role being based in Stokencurch.

Commutable from: High Wycombe, Stokenchurch, Slough, Maidenhead, Aylesbury, Oxford, Reading, Watford, Abingdon

Salary: £ 33,000 – £ 38,000 per annum, & an annual bonus scheme, pension, life insurance, health plan, 23 days annual leave (rising with service) & bank holidays, cycle to work scheme, holiday buying scheme

The Role

The Product Manager will be responsible for:
Stock planning and management, calculating and setting regular product forecast and stocking data
Liaise with sales and supply chain to ensure efficient stock usage
Propose new products where a range needs to be augmented or in response to competitor product development
Ownership of data set up for the whole product lifecycle from introduction to range exit
Ensure all of the product data remains clean and useable to all departments
Liaise with quality and engineering departments to develop application information for all products
Provide support to sales. Procurement and engineering teams in the provision of technical data
Liaise with marketing to harmonize the data presentation, and to assist production of marketing literature
Liaise with purchasing to procure current and new products

The Person

The ideal Product Manager will have at least 3 years’ experience in the fastener and fixing industry
Have strong interpersonal and communication skills
Able to confidentially drive projects, managing multiple projects simultaneously
Analytical with a high level of detail
With strong data management skills and advanced Excel use, enabling them to merge reports from a variety of sources
Experienced in managing website content
A working knowledge of SQL would be beneficial
