Strategy Support Lead

Thames Valley Air Ambulance is one of the UK’s leading air ambulance charities. We continuously push the boundaries of medical intervention, helicopter aviation and on-scene patient care to deliver a unique emergency service to patients, where and when it is most needed.

Location: Stokenchurch, High Wycombe (The ability to work from home will also be required)
Job Type: Part Time, 3-4 month Fixed Term Contract
Hours: 20 to 25 per week
Salary: £40,000 per annum (FTE)

The role:

Now more than ever is it important that we look towards our future, developing a strategy which gives a clear direction for where we are headed.

We are looking for someone to join the team for a fixed term 3–4-month temporary contract to support us in the development of our strategy. We are already well into the process and we have a clear timeline we are working towards. We are looking for someone who will get up to speed on the project quickly and support us at a critical stage in our strategy’s development.

During this contract you will monitor our progress against our strategic roadmap and oversee the key tasks that need to be achieved. From setting up opportunities to engage stakeholders, collating and synthesising input to sharing updates across the organisation, you will help to collate the components of our strategy into a cohesive narrative that can be shared internally and externally.

About you

You’ll be a fast learner and quick to build a strong understanding of where we are currently in the development of our strategic plan. You’ll be a strategic thinker, with an understanding of the strategic process. You won’t be afraid to get stuck in and will be comfortable with drafting presentations, sharing updates, writing up minutes and setting up meetings too.

The current expectation is that this contract will be fulfilled remotely, across flexible 20-25 hours a week. Though depending on government guidelines, there may be opportunities to carry out some of this work at our HQ in Stokenchurch.

We are willing to consider contracting this on a freelance basis.
