On behalf of our client, I am looking for a Contract Application Support Analyst to provide 1st Level support to a financial services business. You will be part of a team that is responsible for the maintenance of a financial services software system, handling incidents as well as change requests from the business, coordination of the implementation and rollout of changes as well as general service management.
Experience of working in the financial services sector is an advantage.
Responsibilities:
* To support the SFS business application suite maintaining ITIL and compliance standards including issue resolution, escalation, maintenance and updates across all streams with primary responsibilities as defined by the line management including covering for other areas in IT to best ability as required.
* "Develop and maintain the problem management process and all supporting infrastructure
* therein within agreed SLAs and contrinbute to regular team performance reporting."
* Responsible for ensuring highest quality of service operations including problem management / 2nd level support and the creation and maintenance of procedures, application and system documentation as assigned by line management including provision of evidence for compliance or other purposes as required and partaking in the cross-training of colleagues as ensuring they are trained and able to support the team as well as your role and able to cover (for example over holiday periods)
* To keep the customer ("end user", "staff" and collagues) updated through appropriate, efficient and at all times professional and courteous communication including directly or via email and phone updates, to ensure that customer expectations are set and met.
* Responsible for actively supporting business and service continuation including incident management and resolution through to Business Continuity Management (BCM) assisting with BCM testing and or invocation.
* Providing prompt responses to customers as well as investigation and problem resolution/workaround for covering all streams (facilitated through cross-training and procedures) and where unable to assist through lack of technical knowledge or access to escalate as required to the Application Team or line management as required.
* Investigate and diagnose incidents (using available tools including but not limited to known error database, problem database, CMDB) and contributing to the CMDB on incident resolution.
