The Job

This is a lead role and also the first person in the department so you will be wearing many hats but at the same time given true autonomy to make key decisions, create processes and establish a supply chain. You can expect your key points of contact on a daily basis will be the end client, external suppliers, internal engineers and the MD so you must feel confident at communicating across all levels. This is a clean sheet start up department so duties will be extensive and will include things such as general procurement of raw materials, consumables, sourcing new suppliers and conducting appraisals, resolving QA issues, monitoring suppliers and expediting goods to agreed delivery schedules, generating reports and spreadsheets.

Experience

Relevant procurement experience and desire to build something great, those are the 2 must have credentials my client is looking for. Relevant procurement experience in their eyes is someone who is used to dealing with Machine shops, Motorsport manufacturers and F1 teams, someone who is going to feel comfortable walking around a machine shop and feels comfortable in the hustle and bustle of a sub con environment.
