Production Planner

The Company
Our client is a world leader specialist Manufacturing company with a fantastic reputation in the industry.
The Role
The role is key in ensuring the correct translation of orders ready for processing and through to manufacturing. All of this is done with a view to maximizing customer satisfaction within the constraints imposed by resource and material availability.
The Production Planner reports organisationally to the Production Manager for Engineered Systems. The Production Planner also has strong links with the Low Force Purchasing & Planning teams. This role is also a key member of the wider Planning Team and as such contributes to the improvements in planning techniques used across products, and in support of the Dynamic Business
The responsibilities are listed below:
· Scheduling of new orders into MRP system (IFS) in a timely manner.
· Processing one-shots for Engineered Systems in terms of setting up new assemblies and parts in IFS as well as processing Engineering Change Orders.
· Managing the supply chain through consolidation of the various delivery commitments from internal cells and Purchasing into one agreed order schedule to meet customer expectations. Communicating impact of this to the EHFS Operations & Engineering teams.
· Provide accurate, timely and concise feedback through phone and email in order to keep account reps, product support team members and supply chain, appraised of delivery schedule changes at the earliest opportunity.
The Candidate
1. Must be experienced in a production planning within a manufacturing environment
2. Experience with MRP Systems
3. Ideally have touched upon purchasing
The Package
The salary offered for this position is £35,000 – £40,000
