My client, a leading Engineering company are looking to recruit an experienced level 2 Radiographer on a full time, permanent basis.
We invite applications from enthusiastic and conscientious NDT Champions responsible for radiographic operation and interpretation, drafting and reviewing of NDT reports whilst maintaining and driving improvement.
Responsibilities:
• Using NDT techniques to shoot weldments to in-house procedures for inspection
• Creation of radiographic techniques and written instruction / procedures
• Interpretation of digital and film radiographs of weldments
• Ensure that work area is safe to carry out NDT activities
• Ensure NDT equipment function tests are performed according to the procedure and any faulty equipment is detailed back to the supervisor.
• Ensure inspection is carried out within the parameters of the applicable specification
• Evaluate results of the test in accordance with applicable specification
• Produce a clear and concise report detailing the methods used in and results of the inspection and all finding noting any limitations / test restrictions is applicable.
Qualifications:
You should be PCN level 2 qualified and be fully conversant with all national specification standards. BINDT registered.
Experience & Knowledge:
• Previous experience in similar position
• Excellent attention to detail
• The ability to work accurately under tight deadlines
• Good verbal communication skills
• Good writing skills
• Knowledge of British Standards, ASME
Hours of work are 07.30 – 16.30 Monday to Thursday & 07.30 – 13.30 on Friday.
