Building Estimator

Buckinghamshire

£55,000 a year plus car and benefits

A successful medium sized building contractor specialising in an interesting variety of mainly domestic works including conservation, listed buildings work and barn conversions as well as standard modern buildings is seeking a qualified or part-qualified Building Estimator to join us at our Princes Risborough office.

You should already have 2 years’ experience or more in estimating/surveying in general building and want to progress to a Senior Estimator level within a supportive working environment. You may be a holder of the Diploma in Surveying working towards chartered status, but a good standard of work and a determination to learn and develop your abilities to a higher level are more important than qualifications.

This full time employed role will involve, but not limited to:

* Assisting with the day-to-day surveying, take offs etc.

* Tendering for our smaller projects with a value range of 50k to 250k

* Support the team in any post tender negotiations

* Reconciliation of pricing with team during construction phase of projects

* Work as part of the existing team to support their daily activities

Experience level required:

* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in general building

* Wanting to progress to a Senior Estimator within the business

* Excellent communication skills

* Confident dealing with customers

* Good knowledge of using Estimating software

Salary and working hours:

* Competitive Salary of £55,000 per year dependent on experience

* Company vehicle provided

* Working hours 8:30am-5:00pm, Monday – Friday
