Our client seeks a Product Owner with experience of capturing the Voice of the Customer to discover and analyse customer needs and shape these into hardware and software requirements. This includes user functional and non-functional needs, and the user experience.
The Product Owner will be responsible for translating customer feedback into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria in a clear and consistent way. They will also work closely with the R&D team to ensure that the end product delivers the functionality, experience and value required by the customer.
As part of this role the Product Owner will proactively manage the Product Backlog to ensure that upcoming development priorities are suitably fleshed out with the necessary stories ahead of time so that they can be easily scoped and sized to enable early and accurate scheduling into the roadmap for communication out to the wider business.
Acquire and maintain a fundamental working knowledge of how the solutions are used in the real world. Participate in and occasionally lead the User Acceptance Testing of new functionality and achieving sign-off from key stakeholders and customers. Work with the R&D team and Product Managers to create practical solutions to issues that help meet customer expectations with minimal impact on delivery.
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, applicants must have at least 3 years proven experience as a product owner working with Agile teams and methodologies. A background in investigating, analysing and documenting clear requirements, epics, user stories and acceptance criteria. The ability to work with cross-functional teams to deliver on a common goal. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop robust working relationships with team members and customers.
They must also be an active listener, with outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills. Highly organised, self-disciplined with strong planning and time management skills. Strong analytical and technical aptitude with creative, practical problem-solving skills.
Although not essential, applicants experienced with Jira and Confluence will be at an advantage. The same applies to those who are certified in Scrum and have a background in user acceptance testing.
This role is based in Olney which is commutable from Northampton, Milton Keynes and Bedford. On offer is a salary up to £50,000 depending on experience
