Sales Engineer – Olney
Details
− Hours Monday – Friday 08.30am to 5.00pm with 1 hour lunch break
− Starting Salary £27,000.00 – £33,000.00 Per Year (Depending on Experience)
Job Summary
− Office based role
− Receiving new enquiries from customers by tel / email and booking into CRM system
− Technical calculations and selections of products using in house software to find the optimal and most cost effective solution for the customer
− Calculating costings
− Compiling and sending quotations to customers
− Following up on quotations and closing sales
− Providing customers with pre and after-sales technical advice
− Liaising with suppliers
− Assisting with marketing tasks such as website & sales brochure updates, social media posts & mail shots.
− Assisting with research and development projects
− Handing over received client orders to the orders team
− Maintain excellent knowledge of the company products and customer applications
− Handling any customer complaints quickly and fairly, following company policy
− Occasional travel to customer sites may be necessary – travel costs are re-imbursed
Experience and Qualifications
− Previous technical sales experience in Engineering / Manufacturing
− Engineering qualification to HNC/HND/Degree level
− Knowledge of heat exchanger products / thermodynamics would be an advantage
Personal Skills
− Competency with Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook) essential
− Technically minded
− Excellent communication skills
− Excellent telephone manner

− Full Covid risk assessment and HSE inspection has been carried out
− Plastic screens at work stations
− Social distancing guidelines in place
− Virtual meetings using MS Teams
− Disinfection and cleaning procedures in place
