My client is looking for someone with a lively enquiring mind who also wants to be actively involved in making a traditional handcrafted material as a long term career.
This is a traineeship and involves learning the essential skills and elements of parchment making. These include the selection and working of products to suit specific client requirements. Please be aware, this can be hard physical work. The ideal candidate will have excellent manual dexterity and an eye for detail. The ability to operate in a logical, co-ordinated manner is essential. There is heavy work involved so must be physically fit

• Starting Salary circa £18,500 pa with increases based upon achievements and experience. Prior knowledge of parchment making is highly unlikely, so potential is more important than previous experience.
