We are currently recruiting a Referencing Administrator to join a rapidly growing vetting company based on the outskirts of Milton Keynes. Working closely with HR teams and recruitment agencies, the role of the referencing administrator is to provide an efficient pre-employment screening service ensuring vetting compliance for all our clients. You must have experience of working in an office environment and handling a busy workload. You will have an excellent telephone manner and the ability to communicate with people from the UK and overseas.

Working predominately within financial services, aviation, and security sectors, you will be responsible for:

* Liaising with candidates to initiate new screening requests, request references from the candidates previous employers/education establishments

* Verify online and/or by phone any addresses and contact details to check reference requests go to the right place

* Obtain job seekers allowance confirmation and/or HMRC letters for candidates where required

* Request overseas criminal record checks and tax statements from candidates as required

* Validate references to meet client requirements – for example following up emails with a phone call to speak to the person who provided a reference by email

* Calling referees regularly to check they have received, completed and returned reference requests

* Building a relationship with candidates by speaking to them regularly to update them with progress and deal with any queries

* Communicating with clients to update them about candidates progress

* Scanning and uploading documents onto our in-house system and entering information such as status updates and new referee contact details

* Compiling update reports for clients

* Checking ID and proof of address documents so that DBS checks can be made

Can be flexible with working hours. Permanent or Temp to Perm opportunities available. Salary based on a 36.5hr working week.

Due to the nature of the job, successful candidates will have to undergo a full 5 year referencing check and basic disclosure
