Internal Auditor – Temporary

Having submitted significant furlough claims since the start of the pandemic we would like to audit our records prior to any potential external HMRC audit.

The role is envisaged to be for a period of around six weeks and it is possible that a significant element of the work could be conducted remotely. We are happy to consider applications from candidates on both a full-time and part-time/flexible basis, depending on availability.

The ideal candidate would have:

* Detailed working knowledge of hourly paid payroll, having operated payrolls either in the past or currently

* Detailed working knowledge of the HMRC job retention scheme, having preferably calculated and prepared furlough claims for other companies

* previous audit experience and / or a recognised payroll or accountancy qualification

* Excellent numeracy and communication skills

* Meticulous attention to detail

* Ability to work under their own initiative and gather information required from various sources
