Area Sales Manager
£40-£45K, plus car allowance
Ideally based in: Milton Keynes, Peterborough, Bedford, Cambridgeshire, Kettering or Northants
Covering the South East, this is a home based role and you will be on the road 1 to 2 days per week for the foreseeable future. This will increase later 2021.
Experience of working in the Architectural Ironmongery, Fenestration, Fire & Seals, Door Controls or similar industry.
You will continue to establish, maintain and expand the Company’s customer base within your assigned geographical area. To promote and enhance the Company position and reputation by developing strong and long-term customer relationships and providing the highest standard of customer service, thus enabling the business units to deliver the annual sales plan.
Core duties:
To meet or exceed sales targets for your designated geographical area and assigned key accounts by:
* Maintain the appropriate level of contact with your existing customer base ensuring effective area planning to maximise call and closing rates.
* Liaise with internal sales teams to follow up on customer enquiries on a timely basis ensuring customer satisfaction.
* Maximise sales for your designated area through the generation of new business by proactively targeting new customers, reviewing and analysing customer spends to effectively manage the product/service mix, pricing and margins to ensure full range selling.
* Develop multi-level contacts within assigned key accounts so to maintain a strong relationship across the whole business.
* Produce monthly reporting for the National Sales Manager
* Work with customers and the Purchasing and Logistics teams to ensure accurate sales forecasts are submitted and customer kept informed of product delivery.
* Collaborate with the Product Development Team to monitor and report on market and competitor activities and promote new product ranges.
* Liaise with the Marketing team to plan and support marketing activities with customers.
* Update the CRM system regularly with updated opportunities for New Products.
* Optimise revenues and margins by fully recovering any cost increases through well executed price increases.
