Brief

Senior Spine Delivery Project Manager needed for a well-known Full Fibre Broadband provider based in and around the Buckinghamshire area who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Senior Spine Delivery Project Manager that takes pride in their work with an in-depth knowledge and experience of delivering major programmes of work safely, on time, on budget and to the required quality.

The successful candidate must have and excellent understanding of the FTTP network and dimension rules and have a keen interest in Project Management. If you have achieved PRINCE2 Foundation or an equivalent that would be a plus!

What the role entails:

Some of the main duties of the Senior Spine Delivery Project Manager will include:

Demonstrating a solid understanding of the Health & Safety implications and CDM requirements in a telecom's environment
Ensuring all elements of the supply chain have in place the relevant personnel to manage the site safely under HSE
Establishing the overall fibre construction milestones and KPI's for the delivery areas that you are responsible for. Set the cadence and style of project reporting, establishing data requirements
Develop and implement a consistent reporting and progress tracking framework for these projects
Establish key internal and external stakeholders to the projects and build successful relationships that enable effective network delivery
Overall RAID management for the projects, aligning team members for delivering the plan, resolving cross programme conflicts and priorities. Highlighting any issues and evaluating any risk to delivering the projects on time and budget.
Collating the reporting requirements of the contractor and provide a high-level summary of any major risks to the Delivery Director
Collate and report to the Delivery Director the number of properties passed and properties ready for service
Build Spine networks minimum 2 month before distribution network build start date

What experience you need to be the successful Senior Spine Delivery Project Manager:

Excellent understanding of the FTTP network and dimension rules
Proven experience of delivering major programmes of work safely, on time, on budget and to the required quality
Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
Excellent communication skills
Great organisation skills
Knowledge and experience of project budget management
Awareness and understanding of the importance of Health & Safety & an awareness of CDM
Good leadership skills
