The Role:
Responsibility for the Company’s Quality System, management of the Quality Team and internal auditing group.
Working with the supply chain and manufacturing to ensure that products are in compliance with the relevant standards and specifications.
Preparation and development of documentation to meet customer and company specifications.
Control and input of company records and development of calibration processes.
Raise awareness of Quality throughout the company, develop performance indicators and provide reports to the senior management.
Working with the purchasing team to maintain & develop the vendor rating system. Regular reporting and recommendations provided to the purchasing team and company management.
Ensure tests and procedures are properly understood and completed. Audit documentation and products to ensure compliance with current methodology.
Ensure correct documentation / certification is provided with all equipment.
Maintenance, development and audit of the existing ISO9001 accreditation.
Implementation and maintenance of ISO14001 across the company.
Identifying relevant quality related training needs and delivering training.
Writing and presenting technical and management system reports.
£45k-£50k, Bonus of up to 10%, Pension, Healthcare and exceptional benefits package including plus 25 hols.
Based from the office in Milton Keynes with occasional home working.
The Ideal Person:
A Quality professional with a minimum of 10 years within a quality control environment.
Engineering background.
Able to demonstrate and practice a hands on approach to quality management.
Good knowledge of ISO implementation.
Essential that the applicant is willing and able to participate in practical problem solving and inspection activities when business needs demand.
Engagement with the teams on a highly practical level is both key, expected and will be required.
Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes and experience of quality tools.
Excellent written and IT skills, with the ability to accurately & clearly document specifications / manuals.
Good attention to detail, organised and able to prioritise.
Team player with excellent communication skills.
