As a Graduate Procurement Officer you will be an integral member of the procurement team and be responsible for providing procurement and admin support to the whole team. You will ensure that compliance to licenses is upheld by supporting procurement compliance, managing the Non-Competitive Procurement process and carrying out spot-checks on the Sub £100k Procurement process.

Leading National Telecommunications organisation who run a government contract with this Graduate Procurement Officer role being part of an experienced Procurement Team delivering a large numbers of procurement projects every year, many of them highly technical and of strategic importance. With flexibility to do a dual working from home and in office role there will be weekly travel to Milton Keynes and London. You will be able be exceptionally well organised and willing to pick up tasks to support the team with day to day delivery of the Strategic Procurement activities as well as being responsible for the reporting, Management Information (MI) and data that the team utilises and produces. You will proactively seek opportunities to improve the procurement reporting, and efficiency's within the team.

Graduate Procurement Officer Key Accountabilities
Support the companies procurement activity as directed by the Head of Procurement and Senior Procurement Managers
Manage and produce procurement Management Information
Manage Spend Analysis data reports
Manage the Procurement Mailbox
Support all audit activity on behalf of procurement
Manage Non-competitive Procurement and Procurement Initiation Process
Lead tendering support activity
Support Procurement leads to organise events to support procurement projects e.g. market engagement
Manage administration of the e-tender portal
Organise procurement workshops and meetings.
Support Procurement team Market Engagement activity.
Create relationships with other Commercial Support Officers in Commercial to ensure consistency and standardised ways of working and provide cover and support where requiredProfile
Graduate Procurement Officer Skills and Experiences – Essential
Excellent skills in manipulating Excel and Power BI (or similar) to analyse data and produce reports
Graduated in an analytical or business related degree recently
Experience of producing Management Information reports and associated insights
Able to demonstrate commercial awareness and/or procurement knowledge
Extremely organised and logical – ability to handle effectively multiple concurrent project activities.
Focus and thoroughness: ability to consume large quantities of information whilst maintaining attention to detail
Strong written skills including ability to produce high-quality, concise written documentation and create and maintain trackers.

Professional and discrete manner
Self-manager who is equally comfortable working independently as well as within a team
Experience working in a busy, fast-paced environment
Very good MS office skills: Word, Excel and Powerpoint (Project also useful).
Skills and Experiences – Desirable
Procurement and tendering knowledge
Formal commercial qualification e.g. CIPS
Experience of working in a regulated environment
