Fibre Splicer / Telecommunications Engineer

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Fibre Splicer / Telecommunications Engineer to join a leading provider of communication and infrastructure services in the UK. My client works with multiple ISP's in the delivery of their networks, predominately working on fibre spine and backbone build.
You will work within the Fibre Division in the core team of Field Engineers where you will be required to perform Test rodding and roping of duct sections, and the building of Blown Fibre Tubing and CST cabling. Operatives will also be required to splice auxiliary nodes and joints and be able to utilise blowing technology to blow fibre bundle. A knowledge and experience of working within the Openreach PIA network is essential.
The role:
Testing rodding and roping of duct sections
Clearance of blockages in the highway
Building of Blown Fibre Tubing and CST cabling
Splicing of auxiliary nodes and joints
The person
Fibre blowing and splicing experience (96 per day minimum)
SA001, SA002, S6, S7, S8, CSCS, NRSWA qualifications
Fibre experience (1.5 years minimum)
Heath and Safety focused
Full UK Driving License
The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of A55's.
