MDU Block Cablers – £20,000 – £28,000 – Midlands OR East Anglia – Permanent

MDU block cabling with the possibility to learn blowing / overhead spanning, splicing, and testing.

Ideally, we need a Lead Engineer and a 2nd Man

The main areas to focus on are East Anglia and the Midlands.

Can you come find me a team for each area please.

It will be worth mentioning that there will be a fair bit of traveling at the start of this position as we have work to clear up in the south, but we’re not taking on any new work down there now, so it won’t be a long-term thing.

Please note that you will not become splicers in 2 months as this role is a “cabling” role and we need people who have been doing this day in day out.

Duties

* External cabling via Catenary wire and Eye bolt installation. Community fibre/city fibre MDU experience would be brilliant

* Working at heights via ladders and potentially MEWPs on buildings

* Overhead works from BT poles.

* Internal cabling and trunking installation

* Training provided via accredited centres.

1 year successful in this role can lead to potential promotion and role change to ‘blowing and splicing’ team.

28K – Engineers must be proven in telecoms and have the necessary experience to hit the ground running after a small amount of ‘shadowing’ and be a Team Leader from the get-go once assigned own jobs

25K – Experience in Telecoms required with a similar job role. Will be given the necessary time to learn and understand the job role and arts of cabling before being issued work to deliver – 2nd Man

20K – Trainee model with little or no telecom experience required. These candidates would be a mould of our training programme where we nurture and train them in multiple areas to grow into the industry with us. – 2nd Man
