If so, we are keen to talk with you! We are currently recruiting for a Network Technician to join a leading international telecoms carrier and service provider. Based out of the High Wycombe Data Centre and Technology Hub you will work as part of a small team responsible for the delivery of telecommunications projects and on-going maintenance and support for customers and internal teams.
Role – Network and Data Centre Technician
Salary – £25,000 – £35,000, depending on experience

Location – High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire
Role type – Permanent, full time Working hours – Monday – Friday, 7.5 hours per day + on-call once fully trained

An excellent career opportunity has become available for a hands-on Data Centre Technician or Network Cabling Installation Engineer to join an award-winning market disruptor and technology innovator in the telecommunications, cloud, data centre and networking sector.
As Network Operations and Maintenance Engineer you will take ownership of delivering important projects and customer circuit implementation as well as day to day maintenance and support routines.
You will support internal departments like remote network operations, service assurance, service delivery and project implementation teams by providing on-site installation and implementation resource. The network and data centre engineering team will implement installations as required for new and existing customer and internal projects. This will include terminations, testing and labelling (Cat 5, Cat 6, Coax, Fibre Optics), hardware installations including steel or other support structure build-outs, cabinet and fibre raceway installations, mounting of shelves, power strips, rails, cable management and patch panel equipment.
The ideal candidate will have excellent customer communication skills as proactive communication with clients both internal and external is a key requirement for the role. Candidates should have good computer skills specifically with Microsoft products.
Ideally candidates will have come from a telecoms, data centre or similar network installation environment and have hands-on skills in cabling, terminating and testing of Cat 5, Cat 6, coaxial and fibre optics.
Candidates should have a full UK driving licence as future visits to other UK sites will be required.
