Milton Keynes (Working predominantly in Clophill and Sandy, Bedfordshire)
£21,383 per annum (pro rata)
Part Time (15 hours per week) – Thursdays and Fridays, plus flexibility to work a couple of the hours on another day

About the role:
They currently have an exciting opportunity for a Wellbeing Assistant to join their team on a part time basis. You will set up and facilitate a range of high quality, healthy, safe and welcoming activities, tailored to individuals needs and interests.
Mainly supporting customers attending their Activity Days, you will be responsible for promoting independence and helping older people to connect locally and also to online communities of interest. You will also provide some support to volunteers and customers of their Telephone Befriending Service

Ability to plan and organise fun, engaging and innovative activities is essential.

You’ll have experience or be able to provide basic digital support, increasing the use of IT during activities and supporting customers to become more digitally active.

Experience of working with older people with the ability to show empathy and understanding of individual needs.
*
Knowledge of dementia and older persons support needs is advantageous
*
You’ll be able to build and maintain strong working relationships
*
Ability to deal with sensitive issues inline with GDPR is essential
*
Confident IT user with excellent Microsoft Office skills
*
Flexible approach to working hours, with occasional out of hours work.
