Excellent opportunity for an experienced Social Worker to the families and wellbeing team working independently undertaking safe guarding assessments of complex cases and a range of community care in Milton Keynes.

As a Families and Wellbeing Social Worker your duties will include:

Support people, groups and communities to access universal services to improve their quality of life.
Liaise with colleagues and external agencies to gather relevant information for assessment and reviewing of care planning activities
Undertake statutory duties for safeguarding concerns
Work with families to reduce the need for care or accommodation. Conducting safeguarding assessments identifying risks and implementing appropriate support plans.
Maintain and update case notes and records. Prepare statements or reports for court and when necessary give evidence in relation to care proceedings or other court related matters.
Provide oversight of cases with clear directions and supportive actions within appropriate timescales to team members.

To be a successful applicant for the Families and Wellbeing Social Worker you will have:

Current HCPC Social Worker Registration
Qualified to a minimum level of DipSW
Specialist knowledge of Social work to achieve successful outcomes for children and families and knowledge of current legislation.
Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team
Experience of arranging support plans
Good IT Skills
Full licence and own transport
