Service Manager

Milton Keynes

£40,000 per annum

40 hours per week

Ivy Recruitment is currently seeking a Service Manager for our client based in Milton Keynes.

The Role:

You will be required as a Service Manager to oversee support for up to 58 customers at any one time who are aged 16-21 years old.

The service provides a high level of support to young people with a variety of complex support needs and backgrounds including being care leavers, looked after children, unaccompanied asylum seeking children's as well as those that have had previous placement or family breakdowns. The service is compiled of 5 properties, the largest capacity at one site being 16 units.

Suitable Service Managers:

* Must be warm and friendly

* Ability to lead and motivate a team and excellent team player

* Thrives on change and enjoys dynamic diverse environments

* Respectful, articulate and sensitive in style of communication

* Previous experience of managing a Young People’s service is essential

* Understanding of complex issues Young People experience

* Knowledge of Psychologically informed environments

* Ability to work in a fast paced environment

* Hold NVQ/QCF 4/5 in health and social care, or Degree/Specialist qualification
