Vacancy details for Service Manager:
We have an urgent requirement working on behalf of our client who is a national provider of care and support for clients with learning disabilities, mental health needs and challenging behaviours.
As the Registered Manager for the service; you will be responsible for managing a small residential service for clients with learning disabilities, autism and challenging behaviours. You will manage, lead and develop your staff team, creating a safe, supportive and caring environment.
Your service users will be at the heart of what you do, working closely with them to help them achieve their goals, aspirations and see them grow and move on to a brighter, more independent future. You will have a focus on ensuring the best standards of care are maintained, exceeding CQC and other regulatory bodies’ expectations.
We are looking for natural leaders, who are passionate about making a difference to the lives of vulnerable people.
The home is rated as “good” with CQC. It has great public transport connections which pass the home on a regular basis and serve local towns such as High Wycombe, Milton Keynes, Oxford, Amersham and Aylesbury town centre. Stoke Mandeville train station is a 5 minute walk from the home. This station serves central London (Marylebone), Amersham, Marlow, Aylesbury town centre, High Wycombe.
What we are looking for in a Service Manager:
* A dedicated and resilient leader, with experience of managing services specialising in Learning Disabilities or Mental Health
* Ideally hold level 5 in management OR be willing to study towards this qualification
* Experience of managing and leading a team of support staff
* Ability to build strong working relationships with social services, commissioners, families, member of staff etc
* Able to motivate your staff team and navigate your way through challenging times
* Confident when dealing with CQC legislation and quality standards
