Progress your children's residential care career and have your shift leading skills recognised as a children's home Senior Residential Support Worker.
You will be developed by the Registered Manager for promotion to Deputy Manager, with the opportunity to enrolled on the Diploma Level 5 Leadership & Management of Residential Childcare.

Your main duties and responsibilities as a Senior Residential Support Worker will be:
* Guiding and developing Residential Support Workers.
* Delegating tasks to Residential Support Workers and co-ordinating the daily routines of the home.
* Attending senior meetings and contributing to the continual development of the home.
* Managing challenging behaviour with young people that have experienced Adverse Childhood Trauma.
* Participating in the construction and implementation of care plans for individual children.
* Attending multi-agency meetings.
* Completing regular supervisions with Residential Support Workers, offering professional support and training.
* Key working for young people, therefore ensuring risk assessments, positive handling plans, and personal files are all up to date with correct information.
* Taking responsibility when dealing with petty cash and updating records accordingly.
* Assisting the Home Manager and Deputy Manager with administrative tasks, household management and team recruitment.
* Stepping up to do Deputy Manager duties in their absence.
The successful Senior Residential Support Worker will have the following essential qualification and experience:
* A Diploma Level 3 in Residential Childcare
* A full driving licence
* Recent experience of working in a residential service for children aged under 16
