The Esland Group are now recruiting for a Senior Residential Care Practitioner for our brans new children’s home, situated close to Burton on Trent. We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our family and support us in our mission to change children’s lives for the better.

The Role:

Our home in Burton on Trent is registered for three young people and you will supervise and develop a dedicated team of staff, who are child-centered in their approach and values-led in their practice. You will work closely with external professionals, including social workers, teachers and healthcare professionals, to build a comprehensive programme of care for our children and ensure that they are happy, safe and stimulated. A key part of this role is to nurture your team to reach their full potential -this is a varied and often high-pressured role, where no two days are the same and it is important that you are able to give your team direction and motivation through challenging times.

The role will involve shift work and sleep ins, therefore travel and time spent away from home is a requirement.

· 12 months experience in a relevant environment

· The Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)

· Experience of supervising a team within a residential childcare setting

· Sound knowledge of working with behavioural and emotional difficulties and challenging behaviour

· Resilience and passion, even through challenging times

· A flexible approach to working

· A full, clean, UK driving licence (essential for our rural locations)
