On behalf of my client we are recruiting for a SEN Teacher for the Buckinghamshire area. My client provides pupils with a broad and balanced education through a calm, safe and understanding setting in order for them to progress and succeed. They restore confidence in pupils in an inspiring learning culture. All pupils through the school have complex learning and behavioural needs and all have Education, Health and Care plans that are met through the careful planning and delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum.
You must:-
Qualified as a teacher
DBS (Enhanced level)
Experience of working within or across a Key Stage
Knowledge and experience of the National Curriculum
Experience of working with children with a wide range of SEN
Have experience of working successfully and co-operating as a member of a team
Ability to plan individual learning programmes
Ability to keep and maintain detailed records
Ability to analyse the needs of learners.
Ability to use ICTYou will deliver nationally accredited courses to KS1 – KS2 students. To liaise with the Head of Education, other teachers, and mainstream providers and appropriate exam boards. To support the Therapeutic School for NQT, and QTS teachers.
To support the Headteacher to establish, develop, monitor and evaluate the curriculum i.e. long, medium and short-term plans according to school improvement plan. Liaise with other providers / teachers – e.g. mainstream schools, special schools to ensure that continuity and progression is taking place within Huckleberry House Independent Therapeutic School in line with local provision. Deliver all our subjects and contribute to the monitoring of the curriculum through self-evaluation, peer observations, analysis of entry profiles/outcome results. Contribute to the school improvement plan and contribute both in planning, and monitoring and evaluating.
The salary is £30,000 – £40,000 (depending on experience)
