Are you a Support Worker with experience of working with Children?  Do you have no experience but are keen to embark on a new career?

We are currently recruiting permanent positions for our client in Bedford for Residential Childcare Workers.

Our client needs people to work with young children who have experienced early life trauma's and damaging life experiences.

The right candidates with be caring and passionate to make real differences to these children's lives.

We are looking for candidates that are diverse, energetic and can be able to work in a therapeutic way.  Working as part of a dynamic team and providing a consistent approach towards the care of the children.  Attending team meetings, supervision settings and utilising the clients varied training plan.

Required Skills

Supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties

Helping promote a stimulating, caring and culturally appropriate environment for the young people

Demonstrating empathy, compassion, resilience and positive skills

Organising and facilitating social activities and health appointments

Maintaining the home – laundry, cleaning etc

Being organised, committed and passionate about the work you do

The working day can be so unpredictable, no two days are the same.  So you will need to be flexible, adaptable and be able to read situations to help the young people make positive choices

The children are looked after 24/7 and 365 days a year, so a rota system is implemented and involves working shifts
