Seven Social care is looking for a Resettlement Officer / On Call Care Worker in Maidenhead
Start: Asap – 6 months
Rate: Negotiable
15 hours per week – Monday – Friday (On call for emergencies outside of normal hours)
The National Benevolent Charity provides accommodation to 27 tenants in 24 flats at The Tapestries in Old Windsor. The majority of tenants range between aged 50 to 97. The majority are single women but we do have one family and three couples. The range of care needs and support is very variable.
We are in the processes of selling the property which we expect to take around six months and we would like to appoint a resettlement officer, 15 hours per week, who is able to;
1. Help and assist our tenants through this period of change helping them to find new accommodation and settle them in with a package of support from the charity
2. Be the first point of contact for other questions or concerns the tenants may have on a day to day basis such as issues with the property, repairs and maintenance.
3. Be on call for emergencies.
4. Liaise with Social Care Providers, Housing Providers and National Benevolent Charity Staff
Working alongside our Property Manager and CEO (both based in Tetbury) your role will focus on providing support to our tenants at The Tapestries with day to day queries and helping to resettle them if it becomes necessary. You will need also to liaise with the local housing provider and social care worker in addition to staff at the National Benevolent Charity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
General
Be available by telephone to answer questions or queries from tenants or families
Be available to tenants to help organise day to day support or care workers
Be available for emergency call out outside working hours
Resettlement
Be available to tenants to respond to questions and queries regarding resettlement
Liaise with the housing departments and social care departments in the council
Helping tenants to move on to appropriate accommodation
Liaising with and supporting referral agencies who are providing services to our beneficiaries
Applicant Requirements:
Knowledge/ Experience:
Experience of working in housing and/or care
Knowledge of housing within the area
Excellent communication skills, and ability to respond appropriately to individuals in challenging circumstances
Flexible approach
Time management skills with the ability to organise and manage own caseload
Willingness to work remotely
DESIRED EXPERIENCE
Previous experience of working in resettlement and with older people.
Compliance: Proof of ability to work and live in the UK.
