A small, family run fostering agency are recruiting for a Registered Manager in Milton Keynes, where the post holder is retiring after more than 20 years in post.

There is a stable team which consists of 4 social workers and three administrators who look after 35 fostering households from the base in Milton Keynes. This Independent Fostering Agency has been awarded a consistent 'Good' by Ofsted.

The agency is part of a small group of four registered offices and unlike many fostering agencies is owned by one Director who himself was a foster carer and is a qualified social worker.

We are looking for applicants who feel they have the commitment, drive and experience to take us on to the next chapter. You will need to be a qualified social worker with experience in managing people, ideally within the Fostering sector and hold a management qualification to a minimum level of NVQ 4 or equivalent or be willing to undertake this in the first year of appointment.

Interviews will be held on the 29th September and 7th October 2021.

Salary is negotiable. After a probationary period the agency offer Health Care.

Your responsibilities as the Registered Manager:

Develop and increase the number of fostering household and placements
Safeguarding of Children and Young People in placement
Maintain relationships with local Authorities
Attend management meetings

Requirements of you as the Registered Manager:

A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
A valid registration with Social Work England
Experience of working within Fostering
Experience of working within a Senior/Managerial position
Must hold a full UK Driving Licence

Salary: Negotiable, however circa £45-50k per annum
