Principal Psychologist – Permanent – Band 8b – £54,763 – £63,861 – 21 hours – Milton Keynes

I am looking for an experienced and qualified Principal Psychologist who wants to develop their experience providing rehabilitation and specialist care and support for people with an acquired brain injury (ABI).

In this role you will provide strategic, professional leadership to the multi-disciplinary rehabilitation team, which includes Assistant Psychologists, Rehabilitation Support Workers, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Speech and Language Therapists.

This is a unique community based inpatient setting led by a consultant neuropsychologist. The service users may have a range of complex and challenging needs including cognitive, behavioural, physical, and emotional difficulties following brain injury.

You will have:

* A doctorate in clinical psychology (or equivalent) accredited by the BPS

* Post Graduate training in Neuropsychology through an accredited route for the QiCN

* Significant, evidenced experience of Brain Injury Rehabilitation

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to deal with complex and emotive subjects.

* The ability to prioritise and manage a complex caseload

* Excellent communication and report writing skills

* The ability to formulate complex risk assessments

* Experience supervising and training others

Hours: This is a part-time role working 21 hours a week. We also can be flexible with the number of hours.
