Opus People Solutions are seeking candidates that are able to provide high quality care and education that meets the need’s of the children under the age of 5 who use the nursery.
We are looking for someone with a level 2 or 3 in childcare, to provide a welcoming and stimulating learning environment to enable children to learn through play and grow in confidence.
The ideal candidate will be required to develop good relationships with the children in order that they can meet their needs and obtain the best educational, social and personal outcomes from their time at the nursery.
Key Objectives:
* Provide a welcoming and stimulating learning environment to enable children to learn through play and grow in confidence
* Observe, monitor, evaluate and record all aspects of the children’s development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum in order that every child will fulfil their potential
* Ensure appropriate standards of safety and security are maintained at all times to safeguard the welfare of the children in line with the Statutory Welfare Requirements
* Encourage parents to be “partners” in their child’s development by working together and having a positive impact on the children’s learning
* Ensure appropriate standards of hygiene are met at all times in line with Day Nursery’s Policies and Procedures to ensure the wellbeing and Health and Safety of the children and staff
The skills and qualities we look for include:
* An effective communicator.
* Knowledge of early years foundation stage curriculum.
* Planning and organising work
* The Ability to understand risk and contribute to preparing risk assessments relating to nursery activities
* The Ability to work cohesively with team members to achieve success
