About the role:
They are currently seeking a Health and Housing Coordinator to join their Community Investment team, part of the Wellbeing & Safeguarding Directorate. The main purpose of this role is to develop cohesive and thriving new and existing communities; great places to live and work and helping to bring about place-based sustainable / measurable changes.
Your main responsibilities will include:

Working in partnership with public health, the police, local authorities and other key voluntary partners to undertake health impact assessments
*
Utilising these health impact assessments and other tools to contribute to, deliver or advise on place-based partnership working projects
*
Leading on reducing health inequalities to facilitate improvements to the health of vulnerable groups
*
Raising awareness around the wider determinants of health
*
Working in partnership to deliver on key projects to bring about positive and measurable change
*
Monitoring and controlling expenditure
*
Working with the communications team to promote the communities and environments projects via our client’s website and social media channels
What they’re looking for:
*
Experience of carrying out health impact assessments and of using these along with customer feedback to deliver and / or advise on place-based partnership working projects
*
Familiarity with working on or directing projects which tackle wider health and social inequalities
*
Experience of working within disadvantaged communities to deliver place-based inclusive initiatives
*
Skilled at managing budgets and ensuring value for money
*
The ability to demonstrate excellent influencing and negotiating skills
*
The ability to source external funding to support the reduction of social and health inequalities within communities to further our client’s reach would be advantageous
