Leaders In Care is looking for social workers with significant experience in mental health and adult safeguarding. There is a vacancy for a full time Senior Forensic Social Worker for service in Milton Keynes

You will be working in a 118 bedded medium and low secure Forensic Mental Health service that supports and empowers people through their recovery and rehabilitation journey. Within the service is a 10 bedded Acute male Mental Health Service and a female service that offers Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) service for women who have a history of self-harm.

To give you an idea of how this job will look and feel, if you were currently working here, these are some things you would have been tackling this week:

Leading the multidisciplinary teams on non-medical mental capacity issues and best interest decisions
Liaising with external agencies, e.g. MAPPA, Local Authority Social Services, Police and Probation
Supporting carers and families of detained patients

Ideally you'll have proven experience working in a mental health setting within a private or NHS setting, with excellent working knowledge of the relevant legislation.
