When you have become a fully qualified Residential Childcare Practitioner through our Diploma programme, you will progress to Team Leader and on to children’s home management.
This is a busy role where no two days are the same, but at the same time you will appreciate a work-life balance by knowing your rota a month in advance.
In this Children’s Home Support Worker role, you will enable young people to find their inner strengths and become the best possible version of themselves.
Our children have come from a variety of disadvantaged backgrounds and as part of our team, you will give them the childhood and life chances they deserve.
You will work in a family style home which has been lovingly looked after, decorated and equipped. There are 3 children, and you will help them become confident, achieve their goals, look after their physical and mental well-being and develop healthy relationships.
Is this role for you?
We are looking for people who have bags of empathy and compassion and have experience of dealing with challenging behaviour and turning it around into positive behaviour.
You will need to be able to work long day shifts and sleep ins and be flexible to work some weekend and bank holiday days.
You will need to be a car driver to be able to drive the children you support to school, appointments and activities.
You will need to be comfortable with recording daily records and writing reports on a regular basis
