Eden Brown Synergy have a great opportunity for a Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner to join the Intellectual Disabilities Team within the Buckinghamshire CAMHS team, based in Aylesbury. This is a community position involving travel between multiple bases in the service area, therefore a driving license with access to a vehicle is essential.
This is a full-time Band 6 position open to Social Workers and Occupational Therapists; part-time applicants will also be considered. We are looking for someone to start immediately.
The team is built on the desire to improve the quality of life for the families, carers, young people and their supporters. They are passionate about creating personalised care and persevering to find a solution when the rest of the system is stuck. They seek to enable families and supporters to overcome behaviours that challenge and advocate for the young people with a desire to see them find a place of belonging in their world. There are professional links across Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire, with structures in place for supervision and governance arrangements. There are also strong links with the Oxford Clinical Psychology Training Course.
A lot of the work is done in the community and a base office is available in order to make working around school and home visits easier. Partial homeworking will also be available once IT equipment has been collected.
To be considered for the role, you must:
Have experience in community care as well as specific clinical expertise in mental health
Have experience of working in a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT)
Have the ability to manage all aspects of paperwork linked to service user care and treatment (in some cases funding applications are to be managed by the care coordinator for alternative rehab placements in locality or even out of area
Hold a relevant degree or diploma (RMN, SW, OT) and professional body registration (HCPC, SWE)
Have evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) portfolio
